Thank you 100+ Women Who Care

Juneau Animal Rescue wants to convey our deepest gratitude to 100+ Women Who Care Juneau for selecting us as their choice of charity this quarter. With the gift of $29,900 donated from 100+ Women Who Care Juneau, Juneau Animal Rescue will now be able to purchase necessary surgical equipment, supplies and facility upgrades in order to create a new surgical suite. This generous gift will not only allow us to spay and neuter our own adoption animals in a timely manner, but also enable us to quickly triage and care for some of our special medical needs animals right here in the shelter.

This Surgical Suite will also allow Juneau Animal Rescue to begin offering low-cost spay and neuter services to disadvantaged, low-income members of the community within the year. We are so grateful for the opportunity this generous gift allows us to do for animals in need in Juneau, and so excited about how this surgical suite will impact our future endeavors for the community. Thank you 100+ Women Who Care Juneau for your amazing work to help non-profits in Juneau make a difference in our community.

Thank you aquatic center staff

I’d like to express my gratitude to the staff at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center. For the last three years I’ve been swimming three or four mornings each week, and over the course of the pandemic, swimming at the pool has been one of my few connections to normalcy. The pool’s protocols to keep its patrons safe have changed over that time, from the early reservation system when the pool first reopened after the start of the health crisis two years ago to its current mask-optional protocol. Through it all, the pool staff have managed these changing protocols well and have been exceptionally friendly and courteous and professional to all of us for whom the pool is an important part of our days. I’m sure all of the pool’s other users will join me in thanking you all so very much.

Jane Hale,

Juneau
